I’d like to buy my own name as a domain to use as a sort of online business card. I’m looking for a host / domain provider with a cheap longterm rate (several years) and domain price. I’m familiar with the top few commonly used hosts (godaddy.com, etc.), but I’m wondering if there might be a cheaper option if I’m only going to need the bare minimum of storage space, bandwidth, etc. If you have suggestions of cheap minimalist-style web hosts, let me know. Do you know any web hosts who are not too expensive on charging for SQL server hosting?

The one I have costs something like 25 dollars to set up *each* database and then 5 dollars a month. Is this unreasonable? Is there a better deal out there?

I’ve been looking at different reviews for different web hosts and I wanted to know what host would be the best for a website I made in Adobe Dreamweaver and could be updated using Dreamweaver and support Flash and JavaScript capabilities. Also, if possible, it could have unlimited space and bandwidth.

I have only found a few web hosts that do not require a setup fee for anything under 12 months and these hosts are asking for 12 months of payment up front…
